According to Egyptian media reports, the hearing to review the conversation between on-field referee Mahmoud Wafaa and VAR official Mahmoud Ashour from the Al Ahly-Ceramica Cleopatra match has been scheduled for Sunday, April 12, 2026.
The move follows Al Ahly's complaint against the referee, as well as the club's request to listen to the discussion inside the VAR room over the controversial incident in the game.
Media reports added that the session is due to take place at the Egyptian Football Association headquarters at 12:00 pm, while the matter remains under follow-up pending the outcome of the review and any subsequent action.
