Wydad AC’s board has announced that it will resign from its duties during the upcoming ordinary elective general assembly, paving the way for a new administrative phase at the Moroccan club.
The decision follows a difficult season both domestically and continentally, with growing fan pressure and a desire to give new leadership the opportunity to reshape the sporting project.
The club also announced that membership applications will be open from May 5 to June 5, 2026, in accordance with the established internal procedures ahead of the electoral phase.
Presidential candidacy files are set to be accepted from June 5 to June 20, 2026, before the general assembly determines the structure of the next leadership.
Wydad’s management is seeking an organized transition that preserves stability, while supporters wait to learn the identity of the new leadership and its plan to return the team to title contention.
