Al Ahly still have a mathematical chance in the Egyptian Premier League title race, but the path has become complicated after the latest round of results.
The starting point is clear: Al Ahly must win their three remaining matches against Zamalek, ENPPI and Al Masry, a sequence that would take the team to 53 points by the end of the championship phase.
As for securing a CAF Champions League spot, an Al Ahly win over Zamalek followed by another Zamalek slip would put the Red side in a very strong position, especially with the head-to-head advantage becoming decisive at that total.
Winning the title, however, would also depend on Pyramids dropping points in two of their remaining three games, because reaching 53 points could still favour Pyramids on head-to-head criteria.
