UEFA Tightens Anti-Doping Procedures for New European Season

pUEFA has issued an anti-doping information circular for the 2026-27 season containing stricter instructions for clubs and players involved in its competitions./ppA player selected for testing must report immediately to the doping control station after notification and may not return to the dressing room, with disciplinary consequences possible for failing to comply./ppThe home club must also appoint a doping control liaison officer at matches where no UEFA venue director or match manager is present, ensuring that the station and required equipment are ready./ppUEFA also requested suitable chaperones and seating for doping control officers, alongside specific procedures for minors and injured players who may require hospital treatment./p
