Aurelien Tchouameni has said that his dispute with Real Madrid teammate Fede Valverde is now behind them following the incident that took place during a team training session in May.
Speaking in a recent media interview, the France international explained that the professional relationship between the two players has returned to normal. He said they shook hands when Valverde came back and continued working together.
Real Madrid had previously announced the opening of disciplinary proceedings against both players after an incident during a first-team training session, before several reports emerged about the scale and details of the dispute.
Tchouameni insisted that the matter was given more attention than it deserved, adding that his focus is now on his role with France at the World Cup before returning to Real Madrid in the best possible condition.
The statement gives Real Madrid a useful boost ahead of the next stage, with dressing-room stability important after a season marked by pressure and criticism.
