Egyptian broadcaster Ahmed Shobier has strongly criticized Al Ahly’s current situation following their 3-0 defeat to Pyramids in the Egyptian Premier League.
Speaking on radio, Shobier said that attempts by Mahmoud El Khatib, Yassin Mansour and Sayed Abdel Hafiz to restore calm and stability have not yet produced the desired results, stressing that the team is facing clear technical and administrative problems.
Shobier believes Al Ahly have failed to overcome the current state of confusion despite recent efforts to correct the course, adding that decision-making around the club appears increasingly affected by reactions on social media.
The comments come at a sensitive moment for Al Ahly, whose league position has become more complicated and who now need a strong response in the coming matches, especially with the Cairo derby against Zamalek approaching.
The current crisis represents a major test for the club’s management, coaching staff and players amid mounting pressure from supporters and a growing demand to rescue the remainder of the season.
