Saudi Arabia earned a valuable point in their World Cup opener after drawing 1-1 with Uruguay in Group H.
Abdulelah Al-Amri gave Saudi Arabia the lead in the 41st minute, taking advantage of defensive uncertainty inside the penalty area.
Uruguay increased the pressure after the break and eventually equalised late on through Maxi Araujo.
The result gives Saudi Arabia an important psychological boost in a group that remains wide open, especially after Spain and Cape Verde also shared the points.
