Pyramids Beat ZED to Win Second Egypt Cup Title

Pyramids won their second Egypt Cup title after beating ZED FC 2-1 in the final at Cairo International Stadium.

Pyramids FC claimed the Egypt Cup title for the second time in their history after defeating ZED FC 2-1 in the final at Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Karim Hafez opened the scoring for Pyramids from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time, following a VAR review that led referee Mohamed Maarouf to award the spot-kick.

Fiston Mayele doubled Pyramids’ advantage in the 57th minute, finishing a left-side cross to put his team in control of the final.

The closing stages brought more drama as Mostafa Ziko was shown a straight red card in the 81st minute, before Raafat Khalil pulled one back for ZED in stoppage time, but Pyramids held on until the final whistle.

The triumph marks Pyramids’ second Egypt Cup crown, after their previous success in 2024, as the club continues to add major trophies to its recent record.
