Zamalek striker Nasser Mansi has said that winning the Egyptian Premier League title is more important for the team than the CAF Confederation Cup, after the Whites secured the 2025-26 domestic crown.
Speaking in a television interview, Mansi explained that Zamalek players used the Confederation Cup disappointment as extra motivation to finish the domestic season in the best possible way, adding that Abdullah El Said was upset after the USM Alger match because of the missed continental title.
Zamalek won the league for the 15th time in the club's history and for the first time since the 2022-23 season, sealing the race in the final round with a 1-0 victory over Ceramica Cleopatra at Cairo International Stadium.
Mansi's comments reflect the mood of relief inside Zamalek's dressing room after a demanding campaign ended with a major domestic title following a direct battle with Pyramids and Al Ahly until the end.
