Morocco booked their place in the 2026 World Cup quarter-finals with a 3-0 win over Canada in their round-of-16 clash at Houston Stadium.
The Atlas Lions had to survive a difficult opening spell as Canada pressed aggressively and created early chances, but Morocco improved after halftime and punished the spaces left by the co-hosts.
Azzedine Ounahi opened the scoring from a cleverly worked free-kick routine before adding a second from a fast counterattack, while Soufiane Rahimi sealed the victory in stoppage time.
Canada were without Alphonso Davies because of fitness concerns, while Morocco suffered an early setback when Ismael Saibari went off with a hamstring injury.
Morocco will face the winner of France against Paraguay on July 9, extending another deep knockout-stage run for the North African side.
