A medical expert has raised fresh concerns over Eder Militao's future after the Real Madrid defender underwent surgery following his latest injury against Deportivo Alaves.
According to comments attributed to doctor Pedro Luis Ripoll, repeated knee injuries and ligament reconstruction can alter a player's movement mechanics and increase the risk of further muscular problems.
The report added that Militao is expected to be out for around five months, leaving both Real Madrid and Brazil with a major recovery challenge ahead of a crucial period.
The specialist also stressed that the defender's comeback will require precise functional and neuromuscular work in order to reduce the risk of relapse and protect the hamstring area from additional strain.
