Iranian reports warn Egypt as World Cup hopes remain alive

Iranian reports say Team Melli remain hopeful before their decisive World Cup clash with Egypt.

Iran enter the final days before their World Cup meeting with Egypt still holding on to qualification hopes despite the difficult circumstances surrounding their Group G campaign.

According to Iranian media reports, Team Melli believe their route to the Round of 32 remains alive if they earn a positive result against Egypt in the decisive match scheduled in Seattle on June 26.

Iran have collected two points from draws against New Zealand and Belgium, while travel restrictions and repeated movement between Mexico and the United States have created major recovery and preparation concerns inside the camp.

Even so, the coaching staff is trying to turn those obstacles into motivation before facing Egypt, with the final group match set to shape the qualification picture.
