Expected Al Ahly lineup vs Smouha features attacking change

Al Ahly are expected to make one attacking change against Smouha, with a midfield decision still open.

Al Ahly are expected to make one attacking adjustment in their projected lineup for Saturday’s Egyptian Premier League clash against Smouha in the second round of the final stage.

The match is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Cairo International Stadium, with Al Ahly seeking a win to stay close to the top of the championship group.

The expected change comes up front, where Mohamed Sherif is tipped to start as the central striker instead of Marwan Othman Otaka, while the midfield still features a choice between Aliou Dieng and Hussein El Shahat.

Al Ahly head into the game third on 41 points, behind leaders Zamalek on 46 and second-placed Pyramids on 43, while Smouha sit seventh in the title group on 31 points.

The expected Al Ahly lineup includes Mostafa Shobeir in goal, with Mohamed Hany, Yasser Ibrahim, Yassin Marei and Youssef Belamri in defence, Marwan Attia and Emam Ashour in midfield alongside either Dieng or El Shahat, and Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet and Mohamed Sherif in attack.
