Al Ahly board member Mohamed El Damaty said the club is going through a period of major pressure, but insisted that a strong recovery is closer than many imagine.
El Damaty explained that Al Ahly's supporters always set the highest standards, which naturally increases pressure in difficult moments, but he also believes that same pressure pushes the club to restore balance more quickly.
He added that downturns can happen to any team, yet Al Ahly remain, in his words, an organisation that does not accept failure, with the current phase requiring greater support and internal unity.
The comments come after a period of wide debate over the club's level and results, as Al Ahly look to respond strongly on the pitch in the coming weeks.
