The Egyptian Football Association has informed Al Ahly that it can review the VAR room communications related to the controversial incident from the Ceramica Cleopatra match following the club’s formal complaint.
Based on the available details, the review will take place only at the federation’s headquarters in the presence of Al Ahly representatives, while no recorded copy of the conversations will be allowed to leave the premises in line with the applicable regulations.
The move comes after Al Ahly requested access to the exchange between the referee and the VAR official over a disputed penalty decision, while the rest of the club’s technical and disciplinary complaints remain under review pending further official steps.
