DR Congo claimed a historic 3-1 win over Uzbekistan to reach the 2026 World Cup Round of 32 and set up a meeting with England.
Uzbekistan started strongly and went ahead through Eldor Shomurodov, but DR Congo turned the match around in the second half thanks to Yoane Wissa's brace and Fiston Mayele's goal.
The victory is especially significant as DR Congo's first ever win at a World Cup, while also securing qualification as one of the best third-placed teams.
DR Congo are now set to return to Atlanta for a major knockout test against England, one of the tournament's leading contenders.
