Algerian club CR Belouizdad have entered a major administrative reset after Madar Holding announced the dissolution of the sports company’s board and the dismissal of president Badr Eddine Behloul.
A new five-member board has been formed, with Mohamed Arar elected as the new president, in a move aimed at reorganizing the club after a season that ended without any trophies.
The decisions also included appointing Djaber Naamoune as sporting director with expanded powers, as the club looks to support the technical department and restructure the first-team file before the new season.
The move comes amid fan frustration following disappointing results, including another Algerian Cup final defeat to USM Alger and failure to go deeper in continental competition.
The new leadership is expected to focus on restoring stability quickly, with CR Belouizdad used to competing for titles in recent years and the trophyless campaign serving as a clear warning that deeper sporting and administrative changes are required.
