CAF and UEFA sign a new MoU in Canada running until 2031

CAF and UEFA have signed a new memorandum covering seven strategic areas and running until the summer of 2031.

CAF has announced the signing of a new memorandum of understanding with UEFA in Vancouver, Canada, in a move designed to expand cooperation between the two confederations until 30 June 2031.

CAF stated that the agreement covers seven strategic areas, including youth and women's football, development programmes, coach education, refereeing, exchange of institutional expertise, education and capacity building, as well as governance and coordination.

The deal creates broader room for joint work across technical and administrative files, with a clear focus on strengthening structures, supporting member associations and expanding training and educational pathways.

Both sides also stressed that the new partnership is intended to reinforce football's social impact and deepen growth and integration between the two continents in the coming years.
