Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng has bid farewell to Al Ahly after ending a trophy-laden spell with the Cairo club.

Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng has sent a farewell message to Al Ahly supporters after bringing his spell with the club to an end, closing a successful chapter filled with trophies and major moments.

Al Ahly’s official accounts also posted a farewell message thanking the player for his contribution and highlighting the achievements made during his time with the Cairo giants.

Dieng joined Al Ahly in the summer of 2019 and went on to make around 250 appearances in all competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing 11 assists, according to figures widely reported about his time at the club.

The Mali international leaves after winning several major domestic and continental titles, having been one of the key midfield figures in a highly successful period for the Red Devils.
