Al Masry have officially appointed Emad El Nahhas as head coach of the first team, replacing Tunisian manager Nabil Kouki in a move aimed at steadying the side during a decisive stage of the campaign.
According to the club announcement, El Nahhas will remain in charge until the end of the current season and is set to begin work immediately by leading training ahead of the team's upcoming Nile League fixtures.
El Nahhas brings solid Egyptian Premier League experience and drew praise in his most recent spell with Al Ahly, where he oversaw a crucial winning run that helped the club finish the season strongly and secure the league title.
The coaching change follows a dip in results for Al Masry, including a 4-1 defeat to Zamalek, as well as the club's recent exit from the CAF Confederation Cup at the quarter-final stage.
The upcoming match against Pyramids is expected to be El Nahhas's first test in charge, with Al Masry supporters now waiting to see whether the new technical staff can restore balance quickly before the closing weeks of the season.
