Media Syndicate announces probe outcome for Mohamed Farouk and Zamalek presenter

The Media Syndicate confirms appearance bans for Mohamed Farouk and Mohamed Abdel Galil, while summoning Hany Hathout.

Egypt’s Media Syndicate has announced the outcome of its investigations involving broadcaster Mohamed Farouk and a presenter on Zamalek TV, following the earlier decision to suspend their on-screen appearances.

According to the syndicate, Mohamed Farouk, who hosts a program on Ten, and Mohamed Abdel Galil, who presents a show on Zamalek TV, have both been barred from appearing because of violations of syndicate law, the media code of honor and professional conduct rules.

The measures were part of a broader regulatory package targeting sports media coverage, and also included a summons for broadcaster Hany Hathout to attend questioning at the syndicate headquarters.

The developments underline a tougher approach toward regulating sports media output, particularly in cases involving verbal excesses or professional violations that the syndicate believes require direct action.

The syndicate has therefore issued its formal position in this case, while the door remains open for any further steps related to appeals or administrative review under the applicable regulations.
