The Egyptian Football Association announced an amendment to the sanction imposed on Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy after the Appeals Committee met on Sunday.
According to the official statement, the suspension was reduced to two matches instead of four, while the financial fine remained unchanged.
The decision also stated that the appeal concerning administrative director Walid Salah El Din could not be considered due to a legal procedural issue, while Al Ahly's fine was upheld.
The ruling gives Al Ahly a boost ahead of the continuation of the league campaign after El Shenawy had already missed one match under the initial punishment.
